Between them, with them, around them
Are the souls
Silver threads of attempted meaning
Expanded understanding
Or restricted hurt and deep cuts
Sometimes a gray swirl
Of sea glass and metal shards
Unexpected, a storm of misunderstanding
Words formed in the head not the heart
Thrown into the space between us
An imagined thought
Believed
Written
Found
Tilting us away, building speed
Whirling unrestricted
Cutting deeply
Words
Sever or mend
Spoken into history
Tornado disturbance or
Labyrinth of connection
Humanly determined
God, whatever force you are
Forgive us the hurt we have done
Inspire us to kindness, humility, bravery and truth
